None of them had a consistent local presence or a deep understanding of what serious buyers actually needed.
So we got on a plane and went to China ourselves.
In Guangzhou — one of the world’s largest industrial hubs — we worked with a local guide to organize factory visits and support negotiations. She wasn’t just a translator; she had deep, long-standing relationships with manufacturers and had helped international companies navigate the process for years. She quickly became our first on-the-ground sourcing agent.
That experience changed everything.
